Tea
is an aromatic beverage prepared by infusing the cured or fresh leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant in hot or boiling water. It is the most widely consumed drink in the world after plain water. While all “true” teas come from this single evergreen shrub, the vast diversity in flavor, aroma, and color is primarily due to different processing methods—specifically the degree of oxidation the leaves undergo.
